‘Anatomy of a Scandal’ is a compilation of series that will launch in 2022. The makers of this series are David E. Kelley of HBO’s ‘Big Little Lies and Melissa James Gibson of ‘House of Cards.’ This series has taken its name from the 2017 novel which has the exact name (‘Anatomy of a Scandal’) by Sarah Vaughan. Till now, we only got to know that every season will have an, unlike major public humiliation.
Director S.J. Clarkson is also a part of this project. He is famous for his direction in several series. He has directed HBO’s famous and unaired ‘Game of Thrones pilot and Netflix’s ‘Jessica Jones’, and ‘Orange Is the New Black.’
According to the resources, Netflix has decided to launch the ‘Anatomy of a Scandal’ on 15th April 2022. But for confirmation, we are waiting for the teaser to come out.
About Anatomy of a Scandal
As we have mentioned above, this series is based on a 2017 novel by Sarah Vaughan. The novel depicts the tale of two women and a man who was trapped in a horrible public scandal. The male character of this novel is James who holds a high rank as a politician in Westminster. James is accused of sexual assault, but his wife Sophie (one female character) does not find him guilty. On the other hand, Kate (another female character) who is a barrister is convinced that James is guilty and he should be punished. Everything does not look too simple and that creates complications in this courtroom drama.

Rupert Friend will be playing the role of James Whitehouse. Rupert is a very talented actor who has earned nominations for several awards for playing the role of Peter Quinn in Showtime’s ‘Homeland’. In the novel, James’ character is being narrated as a determined and magnetic junior minister who has always been lucky to share his wife’s good destiny.

The role of Sophie Whitehouse, the wife of James Whitehouse is going to be played by Sienna Miller. Sienna was nominated for BAFTA and Golden Globes Awards for her outstanding performance in ‘American Sniper’ and ‘G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra’. In the novel, Sophie Whitehouse is a graduate of Oxford. She is a wife and a mother of two who didn’t know that her picture-perfect life was going to shatter.
The barrister Kate Woodcroft’s role will be played by Michelle Dockery. Michelle was nominated in Primetime Emmy Awards for her path-breaking roles in ITV’s ‘Downton Abbey’ and Netflix’s ‘Godless’. Kate Woodcroft in the novel is a tough criminal lawyer. Or, She is an expert in prosecuting crimes related to sexual assault.
Recently, Recapped has been reported that the role of Olivia is going to be played by none other than the Aladdin star Naomi Scott. Olivia is a young woman who was raped by James Whitehouse. Recapped is a trustworthy source, and from there only the information about Sienna Miller and Michelle Dockery was leaked before official confirmation. So we can presume that Naomi Scott’s role is confirmed as well.
Current Production Status of
The shooting was started on 26th October 2020. The directors planned to complete it within 20 weeks, so they made their schedule till the end of April 2021. Unfortunately, the series didn’t makeup up post-production till October 2021. The last update about Anatomy of a Scandal was given on 5th February 2022. According to that, all the shots were done and they were only waiting for its release.
